We dont want this mis-understood! So before you read this I want to ask you all to re-read a second time before making any comments.

Ladder Reset and Disconnection Policy going into effect on Thursday, February 24th
Finally, in a little less than a week Gamespy will be resetting the 1v1 and 2v2 ladders and completing wiping everyone’s rank. What this means is:
- You will be deleted from the ladder, but automatically placed back in rank the moment you play a Quick Match. Essentially, that means you have the opportunity to claim the #1 ranking for a limited time, and maybe even hold it!
- All match history and win/loss ratios will stay intact so you can still keep record of the past two months of play.
- Resetting the ladders will give everyone a shot at a fresh start. Prepare your strategies for the new climb to the top!
The disconnection policy has been the single hottest topic in the community and we are going to finally address it strictly and without hesitation. As I’ve said before, this policy is subject to change based upon the way the community adheres and responds to it. Quite simply, if a user is found to be an abusive disconnector their rank will be stripped. If they have their rank stripped multiple times due to abusive disconnections, then we will take further action, such as banishing their user account, and forcing them to create a new name. We will not surface a user’s disconnection stats next to their ranking. Users who are also noted on “black ball” lists by your community will also be taken in to heavy account as well. The ladders will absolutely see violators taken care of swiftly in accordance with this policy. We will be enforcing it daily.

Patch 1.02 Teaser
Right now we are slating end of February, early March for the release of the sought after balance heavy patch 1.02. I just wanted to give you guys a brief teaser of some changes that will definitely be in the patch. Remember, this is just a teaser, not a full list.
- Gandalf Istari Light will not 1-shot kill Nazgul. As Gandalf the Grey, a Nazgul will have roughly 1/3 their life left, as Gandalf the White, they will be left near death.
- Gandalf the Grey does not have access to Shadowfax, must buy Gandalf the White to gain Shadowfax
- Isengard Pikemen armor weakened. They will now take double the damage when in heavy armor as before the patch to accommodate a much more effective counter from Infantry.
Word of Advice – DO NOT SEND CAVALRY INTO PIKEMEN
- Heal time changed so that it takes longer to recharge
- Gondor and Rohan castle towers take twice as long to rebuild now
That’s just a teaser. We have other balance issues being tested per community response. We are addressing numerous technical issues of which you are already aware of. If you have any other technical/bug/cheat issues, please inform me immediately.
One last thing in reference to the disconnection policy.
There will be an abuse report form for any user to file a claim of innocence if they feel they were wrongly wiped of their rank. This form is not for a single case, it is only for users who are directly affected by the policy. We will keep all statistics backed up, so we can reverse a user’s account if their claim is support by good evidence and found to be true. This will be subject to Gamespys discretion, but again, it is another way for you to voice your opinion if you feel wrongly accused.
